Kody Brown (Kody Wynn Brown) is an American television personality and former advertising salesman born on 16th June 1969 in the United States. He is popular for his appearance on his family reality show ‘Sister Wives’ on TLC, which features his four wives and eighteen children.

In 2010 Kody spiritually married his fourth wife Robyn Sullivan who he met in church in 2009. They legally married in December 2014 so he could adopt her three children from a previous relationship.
Only his marriage to Robyn is legal (with Meri was also legal until they divorced in 2014 so that he can marry Robyn). He referred to his relationships with Meri, Christine, and Janelle as “spiritual unions.”

A month after the show aired Kody came under investigation for polygamy which prompted him to file a complaint on 13th July 2011 in the United States District Court for the District of Utah that challenged Utah’s criminal polygamy law. This led to the dropping of the criminal charges in Utah.
