Lana Del Rey Teases New Album Norman F*cking Rockwell On Instagram With Song And Cartoon Filte

May 2024 · 2 minute read

Lana Del Rey is working on her sixth studio album titled Norman F*cking Rockwell and she’s shared a new clip of a song on her official Instagram account. Fans are anxiously awaiting the upcoming release and her post went viral. Jack Antonoff is producing the album and though an official release date hasn’t been announced, it is believed that it will drop in 2019.

In the viral post (Lana’s video clip has more than 1.3 million views), Lana can be seen in a cartoon filter singing the lyrics to the song. The video is black and white and Lana’s hair is in a side part.  The simplicity of the video, as well as the filter, gave it a laid back, yet surreal feel. However, it was Lana’s ethereal vocals that resonated with her followers and many responded that they already love the song.

Here are the lyrics that Lana sang in the video clip.

“G*d d*mn man child, you f*cked me so good, I almost said I love you
You’re fun and you’re wild, but you don’t know the half of the sh*t you put me through
Your poetry’s bad and you blame the news, but I can’t change that and I can’t change your mood
Because you’re just a man, it’s just what you do
Your head’s in your hands as you color me in blue.
You’re just a man all through and through.”

Lana Del Rey shared the brief caption with her 13.2 million followers, “Title track
#normanfuckingrockwell @jackantonoff.” She liked the song so much that she followed the caption with a comment.

“This is so much my favorite for so many reasons,” she wrote.
