According to a report from ABC News, Lil Nas X is still on top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week with his first number one hit, “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. Reportedly, the song has been in the number one spot for thirteen weeks in a row, longer than any other hip-hop song.

“Old Town Road,” has topped other big songs this week including “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, as well as “Boom Boom Pow” by the Black Eyed Peas in addition to “Lose Yourself,” by Eminem. The outlet claims Lil Nas X’s song is the 12th track in Hot 100 history to sit atop the chart for thirteen weeks, which marks the first time since 2017’s “Despacito.”

Moreover, Lil Nas X’s EP, 7, hit number 2 on the Billboard album chart and he has two other charting singles as well, including “Rodeo” and “Panini.” As it was previously reported, Lil Nas X revealed on social media this past week that he is a gay man.

With his Twitter account, the 20-year-old breakout rapper suggested that many of his fans already know, others don’t care, and a few won’t be fans of his anymore. Lil Nas X wrote that he “thought he’d made it obvious.” Thus far, people have been more than supportive of the 20-year-old star.

There’s no question June has been a big month for the “Old Town Road” singer, as he not only made history on the Billboard Hot 100 but also came out as a gay man. It was reported earlier that both Trevor Jackson as well as Irv Gotti said the black and hip-hop community supported him.

Gotti, in particular, stated that in the past, the black and hip-hop community wouldn’t have been as supportive, however, things have changed a lot since then. Coincidentally, Lil Nas X made the declaration on his social media account right at the end of the LGBT Pride Month.
