MTV has dropped the new Jersey Shore: Family Vacation trailer for Season 3, and it looks like this season will be all about Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. Not only will the upcoming season document his wedding, but MTV cameras will also follow Sorrentino during his sentencing for tax evasion.

The trailer opens with Mike Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, DJ Pauly D, and Vinny Guadagnino dressed to the nines and posing for a picture on the day of Sorrentino’s wedding, and they all say in unison “Tuxedo time!”

Fans then see the rest of the cast gathering for the big day, as Sorrentino says “We’re having a wedding!”

Sorrentino married his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce on November 1, 2018, just days after a federal judge sentenced him to eight months in prison after he pled guilty to tax evasion. In January, Sorrentino surrendered himself to the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York.

During the trailer, the scene changes from Sorrentino’s wedding to his sentencing day, and Pauly D. tells his friend, “Whatever the outcome may be, we’re here for you throughout that whole process.” He apparently kept his promise, as A Double Shot at Love contestant and makeup artist Melissa Lucchese told Radar Online that Pauly D and Vinnie constantly talked to Sorrentino during filming.

“They talked to Mike so many times,” said Lucchese. “They said, ‘Mike is doing so good, we talk to him every day.’”

Pauly D ended up eliminating Lucchese – to the surprise of many fans – but she says that they both felt like they were more “family friends” instead of two people who should be dating. She added that she and Pauly D still keep in touch.

As for Sorrentino, he is more than halfway through his prison sentence, and his expected release date is in September. After the Federal Bureau of Prisons release him from custody, he will serve two years of probation and he must also perform 500 hours of community service.

In the trailer, Mike Sorrentino says during a toast that he is so grateful to have found friends during the past ten years who became family.
