Following the recent success of their promiscuously relatable hit ‘Stupid Things’, Four of Diamonds took to London’s Hoxton square bar and kitchen to mix up a storm at their debut sold out showcase.

The former X-Factor foursome are the perfect example of how hard work and persistence pays off; with an ear for catchy beats matched with their beaming charisma and beautifully unified vocals, the group has the blueprint to be the next big thing.

The night was kicked off by Louis III who introduced a feel-good vibe into the audience performing a string of his music which really amped up the energy in the room. The R&B singer impressed the crowd with his catchy new single ‘Excuses’ which has a funky electronic energy which had everyone moving.

Caroline, Lauren, Sophia and Yasmin brought all the sass as they entered the blue-lit stage shadowing their name in lights. Kicking off with their recent hit ‘Stupid Things’ the crowd rallied support for the girls who would’ve been understandably nervous.

The energy in the room was electrifying as their infectious smiles beamed around the room. The girls performed a string of unreleased original material intertwined with a cover of the Khalid and Halsey-assisted Benny Blanco debut, ‘Eastside’, and a cover of their friend Jonas Blue’s ‘Polaroid’, which recently released on YouTube.

In terms of new music, the girls oozed confidence in their urban-edged pop as they’ve honed in on a signature sound to fill a clear gap in the industry. Our favourites of the night were ‘Sick and Tired’ and ‘Writer’.

‘Sick and tired’ is a no holds barred narrative about being fed up of the trails and tribulations of a problematic significant other. The track is backed by an infectious, rhythmic trap beat whereas the Jonas Blue produced ‘Writer’ sheds a new light on the girl’s sound offering an upbeat bubble-gum dance-pop vibe with uplifting independence.

The hour-long showcase came to an end with a hyped performance of ‘Name on It’ which saw the girls leave their hearts and souls on the stage as they proved they have the vocals, look and choreography accessorized with a modern, fresh take on the idea of a girl group to kick-start their hopefully lengthy career.
